  5. More Control allows you to quickly and easily access many of those
  6. settings in WIN.INI and SYSTEM.INI that Microsoft did not see fit to
  7. include in the Control Panel dialogs.  Easily change the colors used
  8. by the Windows help engine in displaying hypertext, the alignment of 
  9. drop down menus, the vertical spacing between icons, the font used to 
  10. display icon titles plus many other settings.

  12. More Control is accessed through the Control Panel just like all the
  13. other Control Panel dialogs.  To install More Control, simply copy the
  14. files morecon.cpl and mcspin.dll to your Windows SYSTEM directory.  Copy
  15. the file morecon.hlp to your Windows directory if you wish to have online
  16. help.  From now on, when you run the Control Panel you should have an 
  17. additional icon in the Control Panel window labeled More Control which
  18. will allow you to access the program.  To uninstall More Control simply
  19. delete the files mentioned above.  Note that uninstalling More Control
  20. will NOT return your system settings to their state before using More
  21. Control.

  24. see the files winini.wri and sysini.wri in your Windows directory.  Also,
  25. refer to the Windows Resource Kit available from Microsoft.

  27. No fee is being charged for use of More Control.  It is being provided
  28. free of charge by Sloop Software.  All we ask is you check out our 
  29. shareware program, Sloop Manager.  Sloop Manager is a full-featured
  30. replacement for Program Manager.  It adds all those features Program 
  31. Manager should have had.  Or, check out the retail version of Sloop
  32. Manager, CEO:Desktop Manager.  See the file ceoprs.txt for full details

  35. Note that while no fee is charged for the use of More Control, Sloop
  36. Software retains all rights to the program.  The program may be freely
  37. distributed as long as no fee is charged for the program itself.  Be sure
  38. the files morecon.cpl, morecon.hlp, morecon.txt, morecon.exe, mcspin.dll
  39. and ceoprs.txt are included.  Sloop Software gives you the same warrenty
  40. for the program most other programs have, which is to say none at all.

  45. If you are unable to get the More Control icon to appear in the Control
  46. Panel, morecon.exe is provided.  This file lets you run More Control
  47. just like a normal application.  Please do let us know if you are unable
  48. to get the icon to appear so we can try and track down the problem.
